Join a young sea turtle in his search to find the Right Whale, a mythical creature said to grant luck or have endless knowledge. He encounters some vibrant sea creatures along the way on his quest and learns a valuable lesson. There is only a little over 300 North Atlantic Right Whales left. Their biggest threats are boat collisions and fishing line entanglement. I wrote and illustrated this book to raise awareness for these amazing, almost extinct animals.
All of the art is hand painted watercolor, and the story is told in rhyming poem.

About the Charity:
Even though this book features right whales, I wanted to be able to give back to the ZooTampa’s David A. Straz, Jr. Critical Care Center, the largest nonprofit manatee critical care center in the world. I have been there and live painted the area and while doing so I saw the care takers treating the manatees. The specific one from that day had been stranded on the mud after a hurricane (She was named Muddona) When I went back to teach an art lesson for a special event a year later, I asked a zookeeper what had happened to Muddona and was happy to learn she was released back into the wild! This Zoo is important to me as well because I have been going my whole life, this was the first place to introduce me to animals and conservation, and I will be forever grateful to ZooTampa for that.
Fine Art shipping with tracking and appropriate insurance will be provided in this cost. Book will be shipped separately.
