Paper size (including white border for easy framing): 11” x 14”

Printed in studio by the artist in Newport, Rhode Island on acid free, museum grade paper made of 100% fiber from cotton linters (considered “recovered fibers” by the EPA thereby reducing waste). The paper is ISO 9706 and ANSI Z 39.48-1992 certified and is made in the USA.

“Tenacity” is packaged inside an archival quality clear bag with a backing board made from 100% recycled fiber to protect the print and is mailed in a rigid envelope made from 100% recycled material in the USA. This print is currently only available to ship within the United States.

“Tenacity” is inspired by Cailin Aline Martin’s love of bird watching. The painting is a replica of a photograph she took from her living room window at the perfect moment when a White-breasted Nuthatch gently held a seed between its specialized bill. “Tenacity” was named to honor the White-breasted Nuthatch’s characteristic behavior of fearlessly running headfirst down trees to forage for food other birds cannot see without their unique perspective. 

The artist is pictured above holding a print in front of the same tree featured in the painting. 

Sales of this print support the Audubon Society of Rhode Island (ASRI), a local independent not-for-profit environmental organization.
