Christina Wilson- Life on the Archipelago

Original watercolour painting of a Galapagos scene framed with handcrafted and hand-painted paper flowers. Both the watercolour painting and the flowers represent endemic species on these unique islands: Galapagos penguins, marine iguana, lava lizard, Galapagos cotton, Galapagos bitterbush and the Floreana daisy (Lecocarpus pinnatifidus). With an incredibly high percentage of species found nowhere else on earth, this piece takes its inspiration from this unique and beautiful ecosystem.
