Grace Thng- Chilling Seal

Did you know that seals can bob vertically in the water with only their snouts above water to breathe, allowing them to doze off effortlessly? This behavior is called "bottling". Some species of seals also experience unihemispheric sleep, where only one half of their brain sleeps at a time. The other half remains awake to monitor for predators and control breathing. Our seal here is clearly enjoying his nap while guarding the valuables you put into the jar!
