Kate Minelli- Wildcat Flags

This whimsical set of wildcat flags has been a labor of love long in the making - I have been working on this project for nearly 3 years! Each of these flags began as a pile of carefully selected cotton fabric - cut and hand sewn by me. Each sweet but sassy wildcat fam begins the same way - a sketch is transferred to a linoleum block, design and details are hand carved with care and precision. The block is inked and printed. That print is then turned into a transparency to transfer to a screen for printing - in effect, each image is a double print. Each flag is then hand printed with a wildcat family, the colors are arranged and sewn together with a subtle but adorable black pom-pom trim to create the garland you see here. Adorn a doorway, window, open pantry, kid’s room, or porch with a celebration of our wild feline friends!
