Kate Minelli- Hammerhead Night Light

This school of silhouetted hammerheads begins with a sketch that is transferred to a linoleum block, design and details are hand carved with care and precision. The linoleum block is inked with high quality opaque black ink and hand pressed onto 100% cotton heavy weight archival paper. The prints dry for about a week, are lightly sprayed with an archival UV protective coat, and are then carefully cut to fit a  steel nightlight skeleton. The hand pulled print is glued in place with a high quality, archival adhesive. This, in effect, creates a nightlight lampshade that fits over standard nightlight bulbs.  Each nightlight includes all of the pieces necessary to plug in and illuminate your space.
