"Mama" captures the quiet presence and care of a mother grizzly as she watches over her cubs. The golden warmth of the background and the delicate grasses soften and contrast her powerful form. Created alongside Play Time, the two pieces together evoke the carefree spirit of cubs moving confidently within their mother’s protection.

Painted in acrylic on canvas with expressive, textured brushwork, this piece balances the raw strength and gentle grace of the grizzly bear. I used an earthy palette of warm ochres, deep umbers, and cool sage tones that invite a pause and sense of calm to wherever it is displayed.
