Kirsten Latimer- Wonder

Created to highlight the strength and simultaneous fragility of the Mountain Gorilla is the piece “Wonder”. Drops of starlight glows follow a trail of African Monarchs against an abstract background and thoughtfully seated Mountain Gorilla. About 1000 of these powerful and beautiful primates are left in the wild. Their bite is twice as strong as a lion’s and they have excellent face recognition. This composition serves as a reminder for making the time to marvel at nature. What thoughts flood our minds when we take a moment to pause and “Wonder?”
