At the local Lion and Rhino Park in The Cradle of Mankind in the Gauteng Province of South Africa, the giraffe is a main attraction where you can encounter a giraffe up close and personal at the feeding platform. Ever so elegant with those looooong necks!

The tallest mammal in the world - even newborns are taller than most humans. Their neck is too short to reach the ground, so they have to kneel to drink water. No two giraffe have the same coat pattern and unfortunately they are already extinct in seven African countries.
