Pollinators are disappearing at an alarming rate, their delicate ecosystems under constant threat. These handmade ceramic butterfly wall hangings pay homage to both their fragility and enduring beauty. Each piece features hand-drawn folk art floral designs rendered in vibrant glazes against an unglazed, distressed white ceramic background—a deliberate contrast that speaks to the tension between the rich, colorful world these pollinators inhabit and the stark reality of habitat destruction they face. Through the timeless medium of pottery and the folk art tradition of celebrating nature's abundance, these butterflies serve as both memorial and call to action, reminding us of what we stand to lose and what we must protect.

50% of the proceeds from these wall hangings will be donated to North Carolina Wildlife Federation’s Butterfly Highway project https://ncwf.org/habitat/butterfly-highway/. This program has been a huge success for NC, its residents, and pollinators. I love driving on our highways and enjoying the beautiful flowers, and knowing that it’s benefiting the pollinators is such a plus!
