About “Our Little World - Apricity”

Created in memory of my mother who I lost  to Cancer last year, Apricity is a deeply personal tribute to maternal love. After her passing, I found comfort in painting the quiet bond between a lioness and her cub. It reminded me that the love between a mother and her child transcends species—a bond built on warmth, protection, and trust. My hope is Apricity encourages us to see wild animals not just as wildlife, but as families worthy of the same compassion and protection we cherish for our .

Apricity is the first painting in Our Little World, an ongoing series inspired by the belief that love transcends species. Through imagined moments between humans and wildlife, the series explores empathy, belonging, and coexistence, imagining a more beautiful world where we live with, rather than above, nature.
