About  “Afterlight”

“Afterlight” created in the Year of the Fire Horse( Feb 2026 onwards)  a time that naturally drew me toward one of humanity's oldest companions and one of our most enduring symbols. Animals offer us so much more than their physical presence. They carry stories, archetypes, and meanings that have shaped our cultures, our spirituality, and the way we understand ourselves.

The quiet glow surrounding the horse speaks to transformation rather than destruction—a reminder that our deepest transformations often happen within. Like the natural world itself, it reflects an enduring spirit that continues to shine through adversity.

As wildlife disappears, we lose more than species. We lose living symbols that have inspired courage, freedom, hope, and resilience across generations and the invisible threads that connect us to the natural world. To protect animals is not only to preserve biodiversity, but also to safeguard those timeless connection.

“Afterlight “is an invitation to honour that connection—and to remember that conserving nature also means preserving the stories, wisdom, and hope that animals awaken within us.
